The preparation for the third edition of the Innovation for Crisis Management (I4CM) to be organised from 3rd to 4th September 2018 in Warsaw (Poland) at the Copernicus Science Centre are ongoing and the programme takes great shape.
WHAT ARE THE I4CM EVENTS?
The Innovation for Crisis Management (I4CM) events were initiated by the DRIVER+ project. The I4CM events aim to contribute to building a shared understanding in Crisis Management through the organisation of annual events focusing on Crisis Management related topics, allowing to address issues of common interest, to develop synergies between initiatives and to discuss the research roadmap for Horizon 2020 and beyond. The event provides a forum for local practitioners and solution providers to meet and exchange on best practices and lessons learnt, while providing projects and initiatives with an opportunity to increase their visibility and impact and to liaise with any interested stakeholders, including organisations developing similar related projects in other regions of the world or domains.
The third edition of the I4CM event will focus on standardisation and regional-national pressing issues. It will also be the occasion to present the results of the first Trial organised in Warsaw, Poland, in May 2018 as part of the DRIVER+ project and to pave the way for the second Trial to be organised in France in October 2018.
The event programme will put a very strong emphasis on interactivity between practitioners, solutions providers and policy-makers. To allow such an exchange the event will be structured around two parts: the CONFERENCE and the OFF programmes. It will comprise keynote speeches, plenary discussions, dedicated workshops and hands-on sessions with mini trial and roundtables. Furthermore, there will be plenty of opportunities for networking for all interested participants.
The speakers and chairs of the sessions will comprise Crisis Management experts, practitioners, solution providers, high-level policy makers from the EC and beyond, Standardisation experts and representatives of related projects and initiatives.
