DRIVER+ was represented by PSCE, a partner in this project at the flagship event organised by CEN and CENELEC, the European Standards Organisation on 13 November in Brussels – https://www.cencenelec.eu/News/Brief_News/Pages/TN-2019-048.aspx. There was considerable uptake for the event, which was evident in the large attendance of stakeholders from Research and Innovation communities. They were given a platform to network and gain insights into a range of issues associated with standardisation as a key tool to bring innovation to the market. The event comprised a series of engaging talks (e.gs. Standards and Co-creation, Standards and Market). Besides, there were several opportunities throughout the day to circulate and visit the exhibition area, many of which displayed information on existing EU-funded projects in Research and Innovation. Information regarding the DRIVER+ project was disseminated to a large number of visitors at the DRIVER+ booth, which included  Fraunhofer, the Stair4Security project, Euralarm, Formobile (from mobile phones to court) and I-Lead. Another highlight of the day was the inaugural Innovation Award 2019, sponsored by CEN and CENELEC. The event aligned with the standardisation activities of DRIVER+, which has been active in its efforts to transfer the project results to the market and ultimately to practitioners, in the form of the CEN workshop agreements and the trial guidance methodology.
