In the past years EU research and innovation projects delivered extensive results. But currently no possibilities exist to thoroughly assess and compare if the outcomes actually provide valid contributions for the capability development of practitioner organizations that they target. Furthermore, a thorough understanding is lacking to what extent the outcomes actually address the defined policy demands.Given this problem and in order to further strengthen the Policy-Research Dialogue on research and demonstration activities in the field of Disaster Risk Reduction and Crisis Management, the DRIVER+ project will organise three Policy-Research Roundtables (PRDR).

These events will especially aim at fostering dialogue on how a pan-European approach to capability development and innovation management in the field of Disaster Risk Reduction and Crisis Management can be supported through a common trial and validation framework that ensures comparability and improves the uptake of results stemming from EU- funded Research projects. The first and second PRDRs will be organised back-to-back with DG HOME’s CoU Governance meetings. The first event already took place on 28th of February 2019.
